Your question

Ive bought a "NF61S Micro 754" does the board only support that socket type then "754"
As I have a spare "AMD Sempron processor 3000+ "but its socket "AM2".
Ive tried fitting it and the pins won't match up.

Did Amd make different socket types for the "Amd Sempron CpU"?

The processor is on the support list, shown on the link.

AMD has made socket A, 754, 939, AM2, AM3 Semprons for desktop, so if your Mobo is 754 then AM2 wont work.
