Infinite Loop-New Motherboard Recommendations

My computer is going into an infinite loop of turning on, then within 10 seconds, turning off. It appears some of the CPU socket pins are damaged. I failed at getting it to work, so thought I would order a new motherboard, possibly some DDR3 RAM.

Any recommendations are appreciated...probably willing to spend $500 on everything if it would be worth it.

Thank you for your input, specs are below, and let me know if damaged CPU socket pins could cause what I am seeing...only two appear to be damaged:

More about infinite loop motherboard recommendations
  1. After talking with some people it seems best to get a new processor also.

I have a few combination ideas with DDR3 1600, and quad-core processor but wanted to see if anyone had any opinions here, on what a good combination may be for a gaming pc; willing to spend up to 1,000.

    Thanks for the input.
