OC fail, please enter setup to change fail settings.

If I am not mistaken OC means overclock.
Oddly, I didn't OC anything. All I did was install an optical drive and my PC said that on start up. I went into BIOS and loaded fail safe settings and it fixed it.
Just curious, why would it say such a thing?
