Wireless Router hooked up to a wired computer?

Ok I have a weird situation so here it is. I have my main computer downstairs that has a wilress router/modem(verizon fios). I then ran a ethernet wire all the way upstair to my new desktop. The problem is my xbox is wirless and the connection downstairs is very weak. Is there a way to put a wireless router up here with my new computer?


It would looks like this.....


Main Computer w/ Main Router/Modem -----------Wired---------------> New Desktop --------> New Wireless Router - - - Xbox

Would this work?

If your asking if you can add a wireless router to the cable you ran upstairs.
Yes, mabey, it depends on the router/modem but it should work.
Then wire your computer to new router or wirelessly along with the Xbox.

Other option is, bring your modem/router upstairs. Just extent whatever brings the internet in.
