Looks like AMD is following INTEL's path by changing its Socket so often now!!

AMD isn't following Intel at all, AM3 has been around for so long it supports virtually all of it's older CPU's.

Intel only supports 1 generation on any one socket, much like how C2Q, i7 1st gen and i7 2nd gen are all on different sockets.

This socket update is actually needed to allow BD CPU's to take full advantage of their power.
