Hello,
So I'm building a new rig and am looking at the Intel Core i7-960 Bloomfield but, all benchmarks are pointing toward 155 chipset. My worry is about how much control Intel will have in regards to the built in piracy hardware. I am not one to pirate software but, I am worried about the future of this chipset. I’m a little uncomfortable knowing Intel has the ability to run an update for the chip which may not sit well with users. I do watch streaming movies and TV shows and could see Intel possibly updating the chip to block the ability to stream video which does not meet licensing agreements.
Am I just being paranoid or do others also feel uncomfortable running a CPU which the manufacturer has so much control over.
