Has anyone seen or tried the 172W ? It seems from several Comdex and CES reports that wide screen LCDs will be a new trend for 2003.
One thing that really bothers me about most current 17” LCDs is the 4/5 aspect ratio. If you compare one of these to a 15”(3/4) model, there’s not much difference in width, most of the increase in size is gained by the greater height of the 17" screens, rubbish for films. In addition, circles stretch into ellipses on a 17" 4/5 screen... (from my limited experience anyway, perhaps someone could verify this last point for me
