i am building a new gaming rig and im not completely sure what cpu i want to get. will be going SLI with 2 gtx 560ti (msi twin frozr ii) which means i will have to w8 for the new mobos to come out. here are some of the cpus that i was thinking about

are x6 cpus better for gaming than x4 cpus? not sure if the x6 ones r worth the extra money yet

also i will b running 1600 mhz RAM and a WD caviar black 1tb 64 mb cache(if that is anyway cpu related) and this is a mobo that i was thinking about

The X4's are better for gaming than the X6's. If you were to overclock the X6 to the same speed as the X4, it would be similiar performace but the extra cores don't help really at all.

If your going to build a SLI system for gaming I would highly suggest you get a i5-2500K. It's the best value for the money and way faster than the X4 or X6.

OR

Wait till June to see how AMD's new platform performs.
