I hooked up a Kill A Watt gadget and it seems fairly accurate for the price, hooked up a 100 watt bulb and that's what it said + or - 10% A Corsair HX650W, E8400, two XFX HD4850's crossfire. A Samsung 225BW 22 inch. Three hard drives and two DVD burners. As I'm using it to write this it's using 192 watts. During FSX game it jumps to around 300 watts. Turning off the monitor drops it 40 watts. Anyone ever think about this and would like to comment? Happy to hear ideas. Thanks much.

That sounds about right. One of my systems has an OC'd Q9550, 4 GB RAM, a GTX260, a Gigabyte EP45-UD3P motherboard, 3 hard drives and an optical, and a Soundblaster card all powered by a Corsair 750TX.

Running 3 instances of Prime95 to load the CPU and 3DMark06 to load the GPU, it pulls 375 watts from the wall as measured by my Kill-a-Watt meter. Figuring 80% efficiency, the system pulls 300 watts from the PSU.
