32" 1080p HDTV Insignia with Dimming Screen

Hi everyone, I did a search but haven't found any help yet. I purchased a 32" HDTV LCD-LED (Insignia NS-32E570A11) for use with my work computer. Looks great!! Except for one annoying thing that I cannot figure out...

...Whenever I close out of my browser (IE) or close a dialog box, the screen immediately darkens/dims. And if I reopen a box or the browser the brightness come right back. Any thought?

It's a 120hz display.....don't know if this is the reason or not.

What graphics card do you have that you are running this off?

NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT

it could be down to magic bright or a similar setting. that measures the ambient light in the room and adjusts the screen brightness accordingly.
the option to turn it off should be in the monitors menu.

Haven't been able to locate Magic Bright on menu but then again I don't have the remote.......just using the menu directly on display

majic bright is a samsug thing m8, on your monitor/tv it will be called something different.
