Hi everyone ! Here are my details for a new HTPC build :

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: comming months

BUDGET RANGE: around 400 euros

SYSTEM USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Playing Music + Videos (HD), Playing Music Online (radios,spotify..), Playing DVDs/Blurays, Browsing Internet, Possibly minor gaming.

PARTS NOT REQUIRED: Keyboard, mouse, TV card

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: www.4launch.nl (live in the netherlands, this is the most complete online shop I have found)

PARTS PREFERENCES: none

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080 1080i on a 32" LCD

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: I want to obtain an HTPC with these basic functions, as simple and silent as possible. Good looking is also an important parameter !! I am no PC expert (first complete Pc mounting for me !) so any comments are more than welcome. For ex, I have no idea if the PSU I am picking is as silent as I would want it to be.

I would also like to equip the whole thing with a simple IR remote control - mouse type pointer. Any preferences on this ?
I would run on Windows 7.

Thanks !!! :)

I don't think that case is going to work for you.

Here's a video detailing (a bit) your selected case. It doesn't look like it accepts a standard power supply. In the video, it looks like the power supply is just a small PCB attached to the motherboard case (about 17 seconds into the video).

Secondly, it looks like that case will only accept slim-line optical drives, so your selected Blu-Ray drive wouldn't work.

Perhaps this case at 20 euro less:

Also, it looks like the memory you select is not compatible with your motherboard. The motherboard only accepts PC3-6400 or PC3-8500 RAM. You have PC3-10600 RAM selected. Perhaps this memory instead?
