VT 2430 - FADED SCREEN AFTER UNLOCKING

VIEWSONIC VT 2430 - FADED ALMOST WHITE SCREEN - After unlocking buttons by holding down vol keys - SCREEN COMES UP VERY FADED. Prior to VGA cord falling out of back of box - all was "normal". Put plug back - held vol keys "in" - screen displayed "UNLOCKING" - Put back into PC mode - then when auth screen came up - very faded - almost white. How do we reset the screen?? Is this a factory default setting?? Hold down other keys ?? This is a new unit - so no power issues, or battery issues. Thanks

"needs to be reset to factory defaults. With the monitor turned on - hold down the menu, channel up and power buttons at the same time. This brings up a diagnostic menu. Use the remote to scroll down to Memory Recall and hit enter and select "Yes". This will reset the unit. Shut the TV off and turn back on - you should be back in business"
