USB ports on back not working

Hey,

i recently installed a P8Z68 v pro and attempted to put my mouse and keyboard in the rear usb ports but it doesnt work?

dont know if this is a tell sign of something but when i tried them in the back when i pressed a key on the keyboard the lights on it would flash everytime i pressed a key.

U plugged it in USB3, did u?

im not going to lie yes i did lol, the usb 3 positions are exactly where my mouse and keyboard used to be so didn't think lol
