Okay, finally building a new computer after years with this laptop. Pieced something together over the last few weeks and would appreciate your help.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Approximate Purchase Date: Next week

Budget Range: about $1250

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Movies/Music, Photoshop, Shoolwork (loving my priorities. God, writing them down is painful.)

Parts Not Required: Speakers, HDD, CD-DVD, OS

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, open for others

Country of Origin: USA(California)

Parts Preferences: Good parts.

Overclocking: Yes

SLI or Crossfire: In the future

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 or 1920x1200 (buying new monitor)

Additional Comments: Is PSU large enough for future SLI with overclock? Should I be buying a monitor with 3D capabilities? Appreciate the help :D

^ Nice build, but I would suggest a different PSU for sure,... The Extreme Series are not good ones in terms of quality and efficiency,... Also for TX 470 SLI + Overclock you would need atleast 750W+ PSU,...

Video card - The 470 no doubt is a good card, but I would get the HD 6870 instead, cheaper, less heat, lower power consumption and nearly as good performance,...

Your build looks really good and I would definitely get a better PSU like this

COOLER MASTER GX Series RS750
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171053

$79.99 after mail-in rebate
[ I never had a problem with Corsair rebates]

would recommend this a bit more cash but much better

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139006

$99.99 after mail-in rebate card

..I'd stick with the EVGA 470 [real good performance] with the Corsair 750W

real good idea to actually see your monitor in person at the store before purchase

Don't forget Windows install disc. Home Premium or Pro

The psu in this build is a OEM psu...which means it lacks a power cable which can be picked up at most any electronics store for under $10, or ordered from newegg (shipping).
