Hi!

I'm considering the following build, and would like to hear your advice.

I have had quite a few problems with cheap components in the past, so I tend to go for what has proven to be expensive + reliable in the past... I know I could cut a few corners! If you have any particular advice on any of these I'd love to hear it.

Oh, and I know the PSU is a bit oversized, I may upgrade the build with a second graphics card in a few months.

*Asus P8P67 PRO motherboard
*Intel Core I7 2600k
*Corsair 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600MHz CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.65V
*Asus HD 6970 2GB Graphics Card
*Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 800W Modular PSU
*Seagate Constellation ST31000524NS 1TB SATAII Hard Drive 7200rpm 32MB Cache
*Corsair 600T Case - Graphite Series CC600T
*Plextor PX-B320SA 8x BD-ROM & DVD±RW DL & RAM with LightScribe SATA

I'm particularly worried about the case, since I've read it has some air flow issues, but I'm not fully convinced by the CM HAF-X, and not convinced at all by the Antec DF-85.

Thanks! :)

Found out the memory did not seem to be fully compatible (Sandy Bridge recommended is 1.5 V), and decided to cut some edges on the HDD (if it wants to die it will anyway), the GPU (6950 makes more sense) and the BD-ROM.

So, final config is:

*Asus P8P67 PRO P67 Socket 1155 USB 3.0 Bluetooth 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard
*Intel Core I7 2600k 3.4GHz Socket 1155 8MB Cache Retail Box Processor
*Coolermaster Silent Pro Gold 800W Modular PSU
*Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium - Licence and media - 1 PC - OEM - DVD - 64-bit - English
*Corsair 600T Case - Graphite Series CC600T
*Pioneer BDR-205BK 12x BD-RE with DVD±RW SATA Blu-Ray Drive - OEM Black
*Western Digital WD20EARS 2TB Hard Drive SATAII 64MB Cache - OEM Caviar Green
*ASUS HD 6950 2GB GDDR5 Dual DVI HDMI Dual DP Out Graphics card
*Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz CL9 1.5V Non-ECC Unbuffered

Will keep you posted :)
