I have a Silverstone Stryder ST85F 850w modular PSU and was wondering if I can power a single EVGA GTX 460 2Win graphics card using two 6-pin to 8-pin power cables or power it using a single 6-pin to dual 8-pin cable?

Need to know this fast since I have bought the graphics card!

850W is complete overkill for a 460. You could probably power two of them.

Your psu comes with 2x8pin and 4x6pin.
I would just use the Silverstone supplied 2x8pin directly from your psu.
The gpu adapters are provided for people that have psu's that don't come with 8pin pcie connectors.

Ah! OK, apologies, wasn't aware of that. I thought it was strange that you wanted to use 8pin connectors...
