I needed to upgrade my current system to be able to start editing video. Yes it will serve as a gaming machine as well (Civilization 5 and some FPS). I usually make MB/CPU upgrades every 4 to 5 years, so it is about time. I would like to assemble the following. Please give me your thoughts and opinions!

$1580 total ...$1775 if ya pop for a 2nd SSD

I am adding a more modern PSU just in case ... wondering if that old PCP&C has the necessary PCI-E connectors....also 750 watts can't handle a 2nd GFX card in case ya wanna upgrade down the road.

This MoBo / CPU combo saves $60 and gives you Civilization V for free.

Ya didn't have a Cooler....scrap the $45 expense if not looking for serious overclocks

RAM saves $10

HD's save $10

Consider the superclocked version of the GFX card for $20 more

I'd skip the sound card, on board probably equal to or better than
