Hello everyone, sorry is this question has already been answered, but I can't seem to find anything on the amperage requirements for the 4870X2.

My current specs..

Antec 900

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE

Corsair H50

3.75 DDR2-800

Asus M4a78 pro

Samsung 160gb sata drive

hp dvd1170 optical drive

*Antec 650W Earthwatts
540 output power split into three 12v rails

540 / 12 = 45AMPS

Would a power supply such as this be suitable for powering a 4870x2?

Again, sorry if this question has already been answered.

you will be fine, at peak you won't break 475w total system power and you have a quality PSU. the tests where run with an OC Q6600 CPU.

Test System Specs & 3Dmark Vantage
Test System Specs: Hardware
- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 3.00GHz (LGA775)
- x2 Kingston HyperX 2GB PC2-8500 Module(s)

Much appreciated, thanks!
