Sata 6gb/s on a SATA 3gb/s or the reverse?

It seems i accidentally ordered 2 SATA 3 gb/s drives but my MB (MSI 890FX-gd70) only has 1 SATA 3gb/s and 6 6gb/s . can i use the 3gb/s on the 6gb/s? and how would this affect my raid configuration i am going to do?

More about sata sata reverse
  1. the sata 6 gb will step down to 3gb if a SATA II drive is connected to them. won't affect your RAID at all
  2. yep that is correct ^
