  1. You might want to check this out http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/world-of-warcraft-cataclysm-directx-11-performance,2793.html it is tom's benchmarks of WOW cataclysm with different cpus and vid cards. Everything looks nice but for the price difference I would go with a ASUS EAH5850 DIRECTCU/2DIS/1GD5 Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card w/ Eyefinity http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121375&cm_re=5850-_-14-121-375-_-Product 209.99 (179.99 after MIR) which is pretty close to what you are going to pay for the 460. It has slightly better performance for only $10 more.

My suggestion, but at 1600x900, the GTX 460 is good enough, however if you want some more head room then go with my build :D The one that should fit your requirements is the 1000$ build. Uhhh you can make tweaks to be suited to your needs.

BTW, SC2 isn't exactly very graphically demanding it's mostly Cataclysm.
