Hey :) I'm going to get a new PC (Building it myself), but I just can't choose between these two systems. (Got Windows 7 64bit and DVD/CD drives at home)

Intel:

Intel Core i7 2600K
Corsair H50 water cooling
Corsair Dominator DHX+ DDR3 1600MHz 6GB
Corsair TX 950W PSU
Western Digital Caviar® Green 1,5TB
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 1280MB PhysX x2 (For SLI) (Can also use HD 6970 instead of 570)
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD7, Socket-1155

Cost: 2644$

AMD:

AMD Phenom II x6 1090T Black Edition
Corsair H50 water cooling
Corsair Dominator DHX+ DDR3 1600MHz 6GB
Corsair TX 950W PSU
Western Digital Caviar® Green 1,5TB
AMD Radeon hd 6970 x2 (For Crossfire)
Asus Crosshair IV Formula Extreme, Socket AM3

Cost: 2533$

It's going to be primarily a gaming computer. (Playing games like Metro 2033, Crysis, Bad Company 2, Mass Effect 2)
I'm not really an expert, and it's the first time I'm building my own PC.

Thanks in advance! :D

Thanks for your replies.

I'm probably going to overclock the intel to 4.2 Ghz, and the AMD to 4.2 aswell. But I'm not going to overclock the graphics card.
I'm going to play on a single 24'' 1920x1080.
I'm buying it from Komplett.dk (Danish site)

^ +1 for the Intel,...
Some suggestions -
1. Mobo - Any particular reason for the UD7 ? IMO even the UD5 or the UD4P or ASUS PRO or EVO can overclock the CPU to that levels,...

2. RAM - The LGA 1155 CPUs come with Dual-Channel memory controllers, so either populate 2 or 4 RAM slots so that the RAM runs at Dual-Channel,... If you want more RAM, then get 2x 4GB RAM kits,...

3. PSU - The 950TX no doubt is powerful, but comes with a lot of cables, so cable management might be an issue with some cases,... Which case have you selected ??

4. HDD - Green drives are suitable as backup drives,... Better to get regular 7200RPM drives as boot drives, or even better get a SSD, with the money on the mobo, am sure you can get a 60GB SSD as a boot drive,...

The reason I choose the UD7, was because it had 3 PCIe slots, while the UD5 only has 2. I'm thinking about adding one more gtx 570 down the road.

I choose the Cooler master HAF x big tower.

Is it really worth paying so much for an SSD? I know they're great as boot drives, but they're still kinda expensive.

About the ram, thanks I didnt know that, I'll get 2x 4gb then :D

^ Hmm,... Tri-SLI well if you really want too, then its fine,...

SSD - Though they dont offer any performance increase in in-game performance, but would significantly reduce boot, app load and level load times to a great extent,... But its your call though,... If you decide against a SSD, just make sure you buy a faster HDD - Samsung F3 1TB
