Mobo, cpu, memory and cooler upgrade

Forum Systems : New Build Mobo, cpu, memory and cooler upgrade

Hello all,
I have a C2D E8400 set up right now and want to upgrade it. I mainly play Lord of the Rings Online and my CPU is usually at 80% (running on ultra high settings).

PC is attached to my HDTV and is also my Media Center PC.

I have a GTX 460 and SSD drive
Also have a good mechanical drive, and OCZ 600W power supply.

I am looking at the Newegg combo

and the Cooler master Hyper plus 212 HSF

Any suggestions for memory? I run Win7 64 bit and like 4G min.

Also, what about a drive bay with USB 3.0 connectors on it? I have an Antec case with only 2 USB ports on the front and one is broken (I tripped on a cord one day).

I assume you're looking at overclocking quite a bit. So here's the sticks I'd recommend: G.Skill Ripjaws 2x2 GB 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 for $65.

For the heatsink, the Hyper 212 is a good HSF. However, I like the Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B a lot more. It offers a lot better cooling for only $10 more.

I don't believe there are any internal readers with USB 3.0 headers. I don't even think USB 3.0 motherboards have USB 3.0 headers that it would connect to. I'd probably just buy a regular internal card reader (most have a few USB slots, plus room for different flash cards, and maybe firewire and eSATA) for about $15-20.

It won't handle high end games that's for sure. And for $800 you would be better off just...
