Will my PSU and Motherboard be compatible?

Will my PSU and my motherboard be compatible with each other?
I had a list of items I wanted to buy, with crossfire 6970's, but then I became an nVidia fan, and now I gotta make a totally new list, and need help again.
(Btw, I want a cheap, but hardcore gaming video card, something in between, something 560-580, I'm not entirely sure)

Any reply will be greatly appreciated :D
Thanks beforehand!

More about will motherboard compatible
  1. not sure if you are asking about the power supply or the graphics card... please clarify.
  2. Modern PSU's and motherboards are compatible with each other! (have to know which ones to give a better answer)
GTX560TI, GTX570 and GTX580 are all great cards.
  3. Not really enough information to give a 100% but rolli is right. If its a new motherboard and a new psu its more then likely its compatible.
