New hard drive

If i install a new hard drive in my gateway comp, can i put vista from my recovery disks on the new hard drive? original drive no good.

I can't understand why you don't just try it first, then if it doesn't work ask us why. I see no problems with what you're trying to do, though.

Yeah it'll work I like your philosophy look before you leap, leaping and then asking some one to save you from drowning isn't exactly ideal
