Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P and 4 sticks of memory

I recently built a system around the Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P mobo with a Phenom II X4 955 BE processor.

I currently have 2 x 2gb of OCZ Obsidian 1600 memory.

I am running the memory at 1333 because of stability issues and the system is stable.

I want to increase the memory and am thinking of adding 2 x 4 GB of RAM.

Has anyone else done this with this MOBO? I saw a good deal on GSkill 2 x 4 GB 1333 DDR3 and thought I might try that. The board claims to support 16 GB but it was a fight to get the memory stable at 1333.

Any thoughts?

Yes, you can! I ordered the 2 x 4 GB GSkill 1333 DDR3 memory and installed it in the 3rd and 4th slots with the OCZ memory in the 1st and 2nd slots. All 4 sticks are working smoothly at 1333 MHz and 1.6v. SO to answer my own question, yes you can run 12 GB of memory on this Mobo.

Good Luck all,
