I am facing problems using ASUS M3A78-EM(rev.1.03G) with 2701 BIOS & Phenom II x4 955 BE ?

Initially i have used this board for 9 months with Athlon x2 5200+ with same Win 7 x64 i'm using now, with default BIOS. Everything worked fine then.

After i updated my BIOS to 2701 realtec audio is not working . I have checked with Win XP sp3 & Win 7 x64. In Ubuntu 10.10 audio is fine. I have downloaded latest audio driver for my board. The backpanel 3.5mm ports for audio is not working. Error says no headphone or speakers are connected.

Any help?

I am using one of those $3 USB sound device at the moment.

Check in the BIOS if you have assigned the HD Audio to the FP Connector?
There are 2 setting for the Audio in the BIOS, one is to Enable it and the other is to Direct it to either the back I/O Panel or the FP.
