More about building years what guys think
  1. for <$1200 you can do much, much better... here's a Sandy Bridge system that will perform ~40-45% better than the average AMD system right now:

    - ASUS Black 24X DVDRW SATA: $17

    - SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 1TB: $65 -> you won't saturate the SATA6 with that single hard drive... may as well get the 1TB drive more space + less money

    - Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit: $100

    - ASUS VH242H Black 23.6" 5ms Full 1080P LCD + Built in Speakers: $180

    - Antec Three Hundred Illusion: $70 -> comes with fans... looks cooler

    - SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 6850 1GB: $175

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231427
    - G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2x2) DDR3 1600: $50

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157217
    - ASRock P67 Extreme4 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 SLI/Crossfire: $153

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.587644
    - [COMBO] Intel Core i5-2500K + CORSAIR Enthusiast Series CMPSU-650TX: $300 -> you definitely don't want that PSU... stick with top quality like Corsair (especially if you want to overclock + future Crossfire) + save on the combo

    TOTAL: $1110 (before rebates)
