CPU AM3 Socket fan

Hello!

So I am looking at a new after market CPU cooling device. My stock fan is dying so I really need a fan. I need one that is Socket AM3 compatible and not to big. I would normally just find one on my own but this is my first buy of an after market cooler, so I'd like some "pro-tips". I also am really lost at finding the size of most coolers. I have a Mid-Tower case so I don't think I could have a huge fan. If anyone could just point out a good fan or some useful tips I'd be much obliged!

Yes I do a little. I should've noted that I would also like to overclock with this!

Thank you! Just a n00b question here: The size (110mm, 120mm etc...) is that referring to the size of the fan or the actual heatsink itself?
