Hi everybody i have a problem with my USB under windows 7 64 bit. Whenever i seem to do any intense activity that is using USB the USB ports stop working. When i say intense activity, i mean copying over a large file to a jump drive or external drive, burning a DVD on external DVD drive, etc. My game controllers, mouse, and Mic headset all work fine and don't cause the USB to malfunction. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks. i have reinstalled my motherboard drivers and aside from that i have no clue what else to do. I did not have this problem under XP

Its a case USB overload. Your USB devices are overloading the USB PORT of your PC which are current limited.

If you have multiple devices try to use POWERED USB HUB. These are USB hubs with power supplies. It provides power to the USB devices and not load your PC USB port.

Its a common scenario cause a lot of users are not aware of the current limitation of USB PORT.
