Hello

Currently I am running 1 GTX 580 Superclocked Version from EVGA with core i7 950 at stock speed (3.07GHZ). I am using Corsair Dominator 12 GB RAM....
I game on a single monitor with 1680x1050 resolution...

My question is should I get a GTX 260 for around $110 frm ebay and us it as a physix processor or should I save this money to buy another GTX 580 in future for SLI?
which would be more banificial ?

I forgot to menton that i already have an extra ATI Radeon 4850 and an old Geforce 7600 GT... If it is possible to use these GPUs for Physx that would be even better. Because that way i would not have to spend money on a new card...

Thats what I thought too.. But after reading several threads on this forum I think that it might be benificial to add a physx card since the GPU has to do all the physx calculation.. I am getting average 40 FPS in crysis with every thing crancked up to ultra high ( including AA). But 40 FPS for that old of a game... I really am disapointed with my setup especially with the GPU... But yea so far I have just tested Crysis FPS since the newer games I have ordered are still on their way...

As of now I just Have Crysis, Anno 1404 Anno 1701, Battle Field Bad Company 2 and Red Alert 3...

Unfortunatly Ido not know how to check FPS on BFBC2 (it runs very smooth though).. For Crysis I used its own Benchmarking Application which was in its BIN32 Folder..

I have ordered 3 Games Dirt 2, Metro 2033 and Mafia 2 to test my system and of course play them. But they are still on their way.. And i do not know how to benchmark those Games unless the Benchmark application is provided with the games..

I also read in some threads that there are very few games which use Physx. And I do not own any of those listed games. So I guess I am better off saving for another GTX 580 for future when the price will drop a little..

Thanks man Thanks alot. I am going to use it on every game I have.... I am selecting you for the Best answer (even though its not related to the question i posted but still I will be able to check my system's petential)..... Thanks again...

Thanks for the best answer.
You can decide whether you need a physX card or not based on how much fps did you got, because i think a single GTX580 is more than enough to play anything on maxed setting even without physx card...
