Upgrade e510 with duo core processor

Is it possible to update a Dell e510 processor with a E6500 Intel Duo Core processor, Dell has a BIOS update to A07 available on their website. The reason I am asking about an obviously old machine is that is still runs good, has 4 slots that should (with the update) support the up to 8 Gigs of memory, and it is 64 Bit architecture with SATA, capabilities,

I don't recommend it. Your board has the 945G chipset, so it's probably already running the best cpu for the money. You can change boards, but with dell windows installations, you'll need to use another dell board or purchase a new windows coa.
