Holla!

So my existing monitor isn't doing much justice to my new GTX470. I want to utilize the card to its potential at the same time keeping the price under control.

The one I'm looking at is the Dell ST2220m 22' (well, actually 21.5) full HD LCD. Here's the piece:

I'm upgrading from an 18.5' LG Flatronics solely due to the restricted native res of the monitor (1366x768). It's costing me about 10K (Indian Rupees). Just wanted to know any views people may have on the same. Since I nearly ended up selling my car on the new rig, I gotta keep the price tag under control!

Any and all views appreciated as always.

Thanks for that. Any particular reason for that one? It compares the same to the Dell one, except that the Dell monitor has a contrast ratio of 8,000,000:1 while the Acer has 12,000,000:1. Would that play a big difference in comparison?

Between Acer and Dell, which is a better brand as far as picture quality goes?

Dell monitors should be better. You can also look for Asus, Philips, Hanns-G 23-24".

Hmm. The 23 inch Dell is coming for 2.3K more expensive from my local vendor. I'm short of options on online stores and one never know how their shipping and handling turns out to be.

Would it be a worthwhile difference between the 22' and the 23'?
