I haven’t found a good current review of videocards that shows where the 4870x2 stands in comparison to all the latest videocards.
I run everything at 2560x1600 and am finding that when running Warhammer Online, the big battles cause me insane amount of video lag with all the graphics. Other people are not having these issues….so it is something with my rig.
I am currently running AMD Phen x4 955 with 4gigs RAM. I assume the CPU is good enough to run with all this action, I am just pushing my videocard running at this resolution. Please correct me if I am wrong.
When I first bought this setup, my long term goal was to purchase another 4870x2, but the dang card gets so HOT and I had to buy an aftermarket cooler because of the loud fan. So unless it is the best option considering price, I would prefer not to go down this road.
I can’t remember my current mobo model (at work atm) but I know it will only run Crossfire (and of course just one videocard of any type)
