Is a better graphics card or more ram more important?

So, I am trying to decide between a few laptops:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044XU34W/ref=oss_product

this laptop is good value with a core i5 2.5 ghz, 640 gb hard, 6 gb ram, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v Graphics card. i can actually get it for $750.

this one's specs are core i5 2.2 ghz, 500 gb hard, 4 gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M

Basically, from what i can tell, the second one is inferior in every way except the graphics card, which is much better. Will that make all the difference when i am playing the best new 3d games? or will the laptop with more ram perform equally well or better?

I am just learning about computers again after a long layoff without using them and i greatly appreciate your feedback as i am contemplating making a purchase that i cant afford lol. THANKS!

More about graphics card important
  1. The ram has the least impact on gaming out of any of those factors. The graphics card is the most important. Go for the second one.
  2. There is one glaring difference between the two you have listed... the Dell is running Windows 7 - 64 bit, and the Asus is running Windows 7 - 32 bit, so the Dell would be better. On the graphics side, the Asus is better, so there is a trade-off. I would go with the Asus for gaming. These websites are awesome, and will allow you to directly compare the two graphic cards.
