Is a better graphics card or more ram more important?

So, I am trying to decide between a few laptops:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0044XU34W/ref=oss_product

this laptop is good value with a core i5 2.5 ghz, 640 gb hard, 6 gb ram, 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 550v Graphics card. i can actually get it for $750.

this one's specs are core i5 2.2 ghz, 500 gb hard, 4 gb ram, NVIDIA GeForce GTS 360M

Basically, from what i can tell, the second one is inferior in every way except the graphics card, which is much better. Will that make all the difference when i am playing the best new 3d games? or will the laptop with more ram perform equally well or better?

I am just learning about computers again after a long layoff without using them and i greatly appreciate your feedback as i am contemplating making a purchase that i cant afford lol. THANKS!

There is one glaring difference between the two you have listed... the Dell is running Windows 7 - 64 bit, and the Asus is running Windows 7 - 32 bit, so the Dell would be better. On the graphics side, the Asus is better, so there is a trade-off. I would go with the Asus for gaming. These websites are awesome, and will allow you to directly compare the two graphic cards.
