Hello,

Im trying to get better gaming performance at 5760x1200 (6048x1200 bezel compensated) resolution, and am unsure what I should upgrade. Im considering a second 5870, and another 4GB of RAM, or switching to an i7 x58 platform, to leave the possibility of adding a 2nd video card open. I play FPS and RTS mostly, and prefer highest possible graphic settings.

I currently run:
C2Q Q6600 @ 3.4Ghz
4GB G.Skill PI DDR2-1100
Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
XFX 5870 1GB
Corsair TX-850W power supply
OCZ Vertex SSD & WD Caviar Black Drives
3x Dell U2410

Thanks

do you not find this res messes up your fps performance as you have to look physically left and right making reactions slower as you cannot see everything at once.

I appreciate it looks sweet though

Graphically is where you will probably be limited. Perhaps even gpu ram limited more than horsepower.

Personally I would wait and see what these new ati cards can do. I know that sounds like a cliche response but depending on price you could end up kicking yourself.
