Approximate Purchase Date: end of this week 1/30

Budget Range: $500-600

System Usage from Most to Least Important: surfing the internet, music, movies

Parts Not Required: mouse, montior, speakers, case

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg, amazon, etc.

Country of Origin: US

Parts Preferences: AM3 CPU

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: No

Monitor Resolution: 1680x1050

Additional Comments: All's I need is the parts for inside the case. NO CASE needed. I need a keyboard and OS as well.
I don't need a GPU, all I am going to be doing is watching HD shows and listen to music.
I went with a 785G AM3 board due to this!

Parts that I have come up with:
ASUS DVD Drive: $16.99

Asus 785G AM3 MicroATX and Windows 7 64-bit combo: $169.98

Microsoft Ergonomic Keyboard: $41.99

I already have the Antec P180 mini hence the microATX mobo.
So how does this look? The total comes to $540.
Should I get a cheaper CPU and invest in a cheap GPU? Again no gaming or editing would be done on this, just HD video watching.
Thanks!

Looks fine to me. There is no need to get a dedicated GPU if you're not doing any gaming or GPU apps. If you want 3d blu-ray you would need to invest in a dedicated GPU but that's about it.
