Hi, I have a HP server with windows server 2003. The problem is the system won't boot or it freezes when it gets to the windows 2003 server loading screen. Or sometimes i get error Memory parity failure. I tried changing the RAM on the system but no progress. I also opened the casing and saw a red led CR59. Whenever this red led lits the system freezes whereever it is. I have tired searching for it on the internet and to no avail. Any help would be really appreciated. Thank you.

I contacted HP but unfortunately as the system is no longer under warranty they said it will cost $40 for their technical assistance but no gurantees that the problem will be solved.
As to the diagram, i wish i could find any. The diagram on the cover does have all the LEDs explained but surprisingly not the once under question. The only thing thats written with the LED in question is CR59 and whenever it turn on the system freezes where ever it is.

A Proliant server isn't like a desktop; it's more complex to troubleshoot. Did you follow the procedure in this document? http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00300504/c00300504.pdf

Which LED is CR59 according to http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00708990/c00708990.pdf (see page 78)?

According to a post that I found, a possibility for the error is a defective DVD-ROM drive.

BTW, technical documentation can be found at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DocumentIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&taskId=101&prodClassId=-1&contentType=SupportManual&docIndexId=64255&prodTypeId=15351&prodSeriesId=1121586
