i have the foxconn 945GZ7MC and people have said they have had 4GB of ram on the mobo but the manual and internet states that it cannot support more then 2GB could you confirm this because i dont wana go buy so more ram if its not going to work

Here is your motherboard:
2 x 1 gb is the maximum ram your board will recognize.

Use cpuz to double check your motherboard model and chipset. It's a small file.

list the maximum ram as 2 gb. Sorry, but you're out of luck.
