Just attempted to replace stock CPU cooler that was running a little hot. Disassembled down to CPU core, but did not unseat it, just cleaned, re-thermal pasted, and connected everything as it was.

PC will not post. I have a CMOS Clear light on, the PSU tests OK in another system, and right when I plug in the power, I get a quick flash from the RAM Voltage LED's. Both green and yellow flash for a millisecond, then turn off.

When lit-up power button is pressed, nothing happens. No fans spin, no voltage/temp LED's light up.

Vid Card- Gigabyte GTX 460
Corsair 650 PSU
3 Stick of 4GB G-Skill Ram.

I have attemped to boot with each ram stick individually, with a different HDD, and with no Vid card installed.

UPDATE: Bought a mobo speaker, connected just the 24 pin power, 8 pin cpu power, and cpu/cpu fan, I get no "beeps" at all.

Also, tested the PSU and it is putting out the proper voltages.

did you check the other side toward socket pins?
if there is thermal paste spot, it will make cpu fail to boot.
try to clear cmos once again and check your vga port connection if getting loosen ~
