Uninstall windows 7 home and replace with windows xp

Hello,
ive changed the sata configuration to ATA and booted from an xp disk but after in loads the setup files, when i press f8 to accept license agreement its not excepting but when i press esc it cancels the xp installation which means its not freezing so please can you help me

Back up your data files (pictures, music, etc). Format your drive and install a fresh copy of Win XP.

Yes, you cannot "downgrade" an install of Win 7. Why anyone would want to do this is beyond me though, Win7 is faster and much more intuitive than XP ever hoped to be.
