New build arrived - however, computer doesn't turn on.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this in, but couldn't find any "help" sections.

So I made a new build for my friend, which arrived yesterday. He got one of his tech friends to install it for him. However, it seems there's a problem. The computer doesn't turn on. When hitting the power button, a green light on the motherboard turns on, but nothing else happens. I'm thinking to myself that it must be a faulty installation on his friends part and not the hardware's fault. Do you guys have any idea what's going on?

Did they connect the EPS plug to the MoBo in addition to the 20+4 pin ?

Tried to get a hold of him but he and his friend just left to get a new psu and try again. They said that the psu fan doesn't spin when they try to turn the comp on. Do you think that's the problem?

Are you saying that you picked out the parts and your friend and his friend assembled the system? Some PSU fans do not spin unless the temps require them to turn on.

Test the PSU by using the paper clip method can be found on Youtube.com, by using a paper clip, undo it and shove 1 end into where the green wire is and the other where the black.

This will rule out the PSU disconnect all components except the fans and if PSU works the fans will spin, mine spun
