Video Card Not Recognized / Used - Need Help!

I put together a new system yesterday and have got everything working except the video card. I know that the video card is getting power because the fan on it is spinning but the system does not seem to want to use the video capabilities of the 6950 and is instead using the video capabilities built into the i5-2500k (I'm by no means an expert so this could be wrong). I installed the latest drivers from AMD's website, tried using an HDMI and a DVI cable, prioritized the PCI adapter in the BIOS and reset the CMOS for my board. Could it be the PCI Lane? If not, anyone got any ideas on what to do?

Mobo: Asus P8P67 Pro
PSU: Cooler master 750w
RAM: 2 x 2GB G.skill.ripjaw 1600 mhz
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ
SSD: Crucial C300 64GB
OS: Windows 7 Professiinal 64-Bit
Video Card: HIS Radeon 6950 2GB

Might be a way within the BIOS to disable onboard grahics path in favor of the PCI-e based solution....

Does your GPU have it's supplemental power input conected?

Figured it out, I guess the drivers I downloaded didn't work, I went and installed them from the disk that came with it and everything works now. Sorry for the false alarm.
