ATI Radeon HD5850 and 6870 in Crossfire?

I currently have a 5850 card on it's own which runs absolutely anything completely fine, but I was simply wondering if a 6870 would be compatible to go with it in CrossFire?
And if so, would be worth investing in this upgrade for my gaming rig?

Thanks for the answers.

Nope, it's a different architecture. Only HD58X0 cards can be CF'd with eachother.

No, you can't CF HD5850 with HD6850.

Your specs are nice, but what about your monitor resolution?
A single HD5850 is enough to play most of games on HD monitor...

Pretty expensive.. but yeah they have Lucid Hydra on Asus Crosshair IV Extreme. Was thinking about getting it but it was way too expensive.
