New gaming/workstation pc

I'm building a new pc to upgrade my old gaming pc. The old one has a 3x2TB software RAID 5 which i will be upgrading to 4x2TB hardware RAID 5. I'm debating whether to put the add-on card and hard drives in my new rig or build a NAS just for the RAID, possibly using the old computer. Any advice? Thanks.

Is the RAID 5 for OS/programs/speed for you, or simple storage? If the former, I'd have it internal to yoru system, add an extra 100watts to whatever power supply you would normally need.

It's solely for storage (music, videos, pictures, etc).

a raid 5 setup is for security.
raid 0 is for speed.

I know what the raid levels do, I'm just asking peoples' opinions on whether I should put it in my new pc im building or a separate NAS
