Hi, I have a 8120 currently fitted to a Sabertooth board, however when I adjust the ram speed in the UFI BIOS to 1866 from 1333 windows blue screens after the "loading windows" message.

Can I update the speed in windows to ensure stability or what? I'm lost here.

No it would have to be done in the Bios. What kind of memory is it. Is it rated for 1866? If it is then perhaps you need to adjust the the memory timings for the new speed manually. Hard to say without knowing what memory it is. Also if you are going fron 1333 to 1866 there is a chance that u would need to increase the voltage to the memory. Check on the Memory providers website for the specs at the 1866 speed.

I'm having the same problem with 16GB (4x4GB) G.Skill Ripjaws X series 1866mhz ram, the AsRock Fatal1ty 990FX Professional motherboard, and an AMD FX 6100 Bulldozer CPU, actual model of the ram is: F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL. everything I've tried so far has failed to run the ram stable at 1866mhz so any help would be apreciated
