Are these computer parts compatible?

This will be my first computer I'm building. My main worry is after I purchase everything, they won't be compatible with each other. Below is a link to a wishlist in NewEgg.com with a list of the parts.

Any advice would be extremely helpful. Also, I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to most computer lingo, so when explaining things you might have to dumb it down a bit for me =/

Hi and welcome to Tom's forum.

1- Change the RAM for this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

A little more expensive but you get better performance.

2- Change the case for this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Same price, but less shipping price and better specs.

3- Change the thermal grease for this one: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

A little more expensive, but much better performance. The hyper 212+ comes with thermal grease that is enough for a good performance.

The other components looks good for me.

I would suggest not skimping on the motherboard since it is the backbone to your pc and very crucial if you plan on any futureproofing. If you were gonna stick with that price range M/B I would buy this one
(http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...)
since it has four ram slots and since you have a discrete graphics card you have no need for the onboard graphics that comes with an 880G board. Why wouldn't you buy a 2*2GB 1600Mhz ram kit for same price, it is faster and comes with heatsinks? keep in mind that faster ram can always be downclocked you just might as well buy the better sticks. Good luck for your first build you also might consider looking at the $500 gaming rigs that they post on the main page of this site under the build your own catagory. My best advice would be: do lots of research and read as many reviews as possible

Okay, so I'm replacing my RAM and the motherboard for the ones listed and deciding against the thermal paste all together if the hyper 212+ is efficient enough.
Unfortunately, Three Hundred Illusion tower was sold out on NewEgg, but I found it on Amazon.
Thanks for all the advice!
