New Graphics Card?

I just bought a new computer. Installed The Sims 3. It works but really slowly.. What graphics cards would work?
RAM: 6GB of RAM.
1 Terabyte of memory.
AMD Quad-Core processor.. I think its 2.9GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4200 Integrated graphics.

I think my resolution is 1600x900..
How do i change that?
Im sorry.. Im noobish when it comes to computers..

The intergrated 4200 is equlivant to a high end graphics card from 5-6 years ago, It will struggle to play just about anything.

You can try launching the Sims 3 and there should be an option to change the resolution. The lower the numbers the faster it will run, but you will lose picture quality.

my laptop with the x1250 could not handle the sims 3 so i wouldn't bet on your gpu soz man

^Yeah but mines was OC by 37% so it bridges the gap a little bit lol
