RAM showing less than installed

I am using Win7 Ultimate 64 bit OS. I have 4 GB Ram (XMS3 Corsair). Till yesterday my PC was showing 3.5 GB ram used but now it is showing 2.75 GB of ram in use. I had used the ready boost for my Kingston 4 GB pen drive yesterday and I think it had happened only after that.

Pls tell me how to correct this error.

Dont forget that the Os reserves a certain amount of ram for its own use,
the 2.75Gb is whats available for you at the time of looking,
check running processes and see if anythings running you dont want/need,
that will free up a bit

How can this be possible? The properties of windows always shows the maximum ram installed and doesn't change even if it is being used by any program and don't forget my pc was showing 3.5 gb ram a few days back.

Do you have an integrated graphics card that may have had more RAM allocated to it? I've had a PC before where it had 4GB of RAM installed with 0.5GB allocated to the GPU. It showed up as 3.5GB installed under Windows 7.
