Hello there!
As I've recently decided to buy a new rig I patched up a nice config.
Here are the specs

CPU AM3 AMD X4 Phenom II 955 3.20GHz/8MB 64Bit BOX Black Edition
MB AM3 880G MSI 880GM-E41 VGA PCIe/DD3/SATA2/GLAN/7.1/HDMI
RAM DIMM DDR3 2x2GB 1866MHz Exceleram Black Sark CL9
HDD SATA2 7200 640GB WD Caviar Blue
VGA AMD Radeon 5850 Sapphire Xtreme 1GB/DDR5/DVI/HDMI/DP/256bit
Case 500W Frontier C-2001
DVD+/-RW SONY NEC AD-5260S/SATA

Now I'm not completely sure that the 500W is enough for the 5850?
I've read around the internet some people stating it's enough and some stating it's not, so I wanted to hear your opinions?

Cheers!

I wouldn't trust my expensive components to a generic 500W psu.
Personally i've never heard of Frontier.
A 5850 requires 40A on the 12V rails.
If your psu supplies that when you add up your 12V rails then it's ok.
Otherwise you'll need at least a 500W psu that supplies 40A.
