Gaming Rig Help with parts

Hi Folks, First time poster Long time reader :)

Here is the scoop, I sold everything before I went traveling for 6 months.
I am looking to build a new rig in the next month or so. I mainly game usually one or 2 titles at a time only. Planing on streaming wireless to my TV so i don't need to build a HTPC.

This will be my 6th Rig, just looking for input as I have been out of the loop for a while, and most on this board are more experienced in choosing the right parts. Future-proofing 3+ years (case/PSU at least)

Approximate Purchase Date: end/mid February to early March

Budget Range: $2000-3000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies (streamed to TV)

Parts Not Required: speakers, OS(win7 64)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:,,

Country of Origin: Canada

Parts Preferences: by brand or type: always had good luck with ASUS, but no preference

Overclocking: Yes / Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Yes / Maybe

Monitor Resolution: at least 1920x1080 / 1920x1200

Additional Comments: I would like a quiet PC, Not flashy

Include a list of any parts you have already selected with descriptively labeled links for parts.

CASE - Fractal Design Define R3

PSU - Corsair HX 850W Power Supply w/ 140mm Fan

PROCESSOR - Intel Core™ i5-2500K Processor, 3.30GHz w/ 6MB Cache

Asus P8P67 PRO
Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4

GPU?? Prefer single high-end card option for now, pickup second card when needed (PSU big enough for future proof?)

Thinking 1xSSD OS/Main Game(raid SSD worth while?)
1 or 2x Very Large Storage Drive

RAM 8GB??? No Idea DDR3-PC1300 for SB? so confused

24" minimum, bigger is better 27'/30" (is a TV good? 1080 max resolution?)
Old monitor was a 24" LCDTV back when 24" Monitors were $2k+

MOUSE - Logitech G9X Laser Mouse - old mouse was G9

KB - Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard, v.2 - same as old

Think that about does it
Thanks for any input, been itching to get this going
